“He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee…” – Luke 24:6, NASB
After the silence of Saturday, the stone was rolled away.
What began in darkness ended in glory. The grave was empty. The tomb could not hold the King. Jesus Christ is risen.
This is not a metaphor. Not myth. Not wishful thinking. The resurrection is the bodily, historical, and eternal victory of the Son of God over sin and death.
An Empty Tomb and a Living Savior
The women went to the tomb early in the morning, carrying spices—not because they expected a miracle but a body.
Instead, they found angels and an empty grave.
“Why are you seeking the living One among the dead?” (Luke 24:5)
The same Jesus who had been crucified was now alive.
Not resuscitated. Not spiritually remembered. But resurrected in power and glory.
This changes everything.
Death Defeated, Hope Secured
Because Jesus rose, we know:
-
The cross worked. Our sin was paid in full (Romans 4:25).
-
Death is not the end. Resurrection is our future (1 Corinthians 15:20–22).
-
Jesus is Lord. Not Caesar. Not Satan. Not self. (Romans 1:4)
The resurrection proves that Jesus was who He claimed to be—the Messiah, the Son of God, the Savior of the world.
A Call to Believe and Follow
Easter is not just a celebration—it’s a summons.
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
– Romans 10:9
This is the gospel.
Jesus lived the life we failed to live, died the death we deserved, and rose in victory so we might live forever.
Have you believed that truth? Have you surrendered your life to the risen King?
Reflection Questions:
-
Do I believe that Jesus truly rose from the dead?
-
What difference does His resurrection make in how I live today?
-
Am I living in the power of the resurrection—or stuck in the shadow of the tomb?
